Rent the Runway names Paige Thomas as its new chief executive officer, with the appointment effective Monday. The company also designates her as president and as a member of its board of directors, according to a press release.
Thomas is described across outlets as a Nordstrom veteran and as coming from the department-store retail world. Retail Dive notes she is one of several leaders in the company’s executive ranks with department store experience, and that interim CEO Teri Bariquit is also part of that group. PYMNTS says Thomas joins Rent the Runway as chief commercial officer (CCO) in June, after previously serving in leadership roles at Signet Jewelers, including chief merchant and product innovation officer.
