Apple says two features that appeared in iOS 27 betas will not be included in the iOS 27 public release on Monday, September 14. Instead, they are scheduled to arrive later through a “future software update.”
The features in question are suggestions in the Messages app and the ability to automatically change compromised passwords with a tap. MacRumors reports that Apple ties both capabilities to Apple Intelligence and describes them as cross-platform features, noting the delays on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate documentation pages. In the password case, Apple Intelligence and Safari are used to fix compromised passwords in the background, while in Messages, Apple Intelligence surfaces one-tap suggestions based on what is discussed in a conversation.
While one outlet highlights that these items are pulled from the Monday launch, MacRumors also provides additional detail on how the features work and points to the likelihood of earlier availability via a subsequent iOS 27.1 update, which is expected before late October. Both sources agree the two capabilities are not coming with the initial rollout date.
