Koraput coffee from Odisha is being showcased at the BRICS India 2026 Summit, with the product provided to global delegates. The move brings attention to a homegrown brand as Odisha presents its investment and economic prospects on international platforms.

Odisha’s government links the appearance of the coffee to the broader potential for products from rural and tribal areas to reach wider markets. Reporting notes that Koraput coffee is cultivated primarily in Nandapur and Machhkund areas of Koraput district, at elevations of roughly 920–950 metres.

While both outlets focus on the same event and the significance of the product’s international exposure, they emphasize different angles. One highlights the global spotlight for Odisha’s celebrated brand within the wider context of state promotion at BRICS, while the other foregrounds how the coffee’s origins in rural and tribal regions support its market access narrative.
