Nigerian dancer Poco Lee is scheduled to appear in UK court on 15 September 2026, amid online claims that he has been released. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and court representatives say the case is still active and is listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation.
According to reports, Poco Lee—also identified as Iweh Pascal Odinaka—is charged with attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. The CPS states the matter has not been dropped and that he remains expected to appear on the scheduled date. Some social media users and influencers have alleged that he regained freedom after weeks in custody and that the complainant withdrew or an out-of-court settlement was reached, citing posts and unnamed influence. Those claims have not been independently verified by the UK court, and Poco Lee’s management has not formally confirmed any release.
The outlets also note prior communications from Poco Lee’s side addressing circulating allegations, including that certain elements, such as drink-spiking, were not part of the charges they said were being discussed. The CPS position, however, is that the prosecution continues and the next hearing proceeds as scheduled.
