OSL Group says its Hong Kong-licensed exchange, OSL HK, has listed USDKG, a gold-backed stablecoin issued by the Kyrgyz Republic. The companies describe USDKG as pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar and fully backed by physical gold reserves. OSL states that the token is now available to professional investors via its institutional infrastructure, with an initial trading pair of USDKG/USDT offered on its over-the-counter (OTC) platform.

The release also says the issuer is OJSC Virtual Asset Issuer, described as a state-owned entity under Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Finance. It adds that the initial issuance totals $50 million and that the gold backing is audited by Kreston Global. USDKG is deployed on the Ethereum and TRON networks, with smart contract audits attributed to ConsenSys Diligence. The issuer and OSL further state the stablecoin follows FATF KYC/AML standards and is intended for cross-border settlement and related financial uses.

Both outlets present the move as an expansion of regulated, asset-backed digital-asset access in Hong Kong’s licensed virtual asset market.
