Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, continues to perform below expectations in its first days at the Indian box office. Times of India reports day-by-day India net collections of Rs 3 crore on the opening day, Rs 2.50 crore on day two, and Rs 0.46 crore on day three, bringing the film to a reported Rs 5.96 crore net.

NDTV, reporting on the film’s day-two status, puts Haiwaan’s total India net collection at Rs 5.50 crore. Both outlets frame the results as the film struggling to build momentum as competing releases gain attention. Sources also note Haiwaan is a remake of the Malayalam film Oppam, and that it faces competition from Mirzapur: The Movie and Hanuman Ansh, with the latter releases drawing audience interest during the same period.
