Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) suspends a four-week strike at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University (JSTU), Benue, after the union cites unpaid academic allowances as the main issue. The suspension brings an end to the “No Pay, No Work” action that began earlier and affected academic activities during the period.

ASUU’s Benue state branch also reports that its decision follows progress made through engagement with university management and relevant stakeholders. The call-off is communicated through a statement shared with journalists, which is signed by the branch chairperson, Terseer Abari. While both outlets focus on the end of the strike and the allowances dispute, they frame the development primarily as a response to reported movement on the union’s demands rather than a negotiated final agreement.
