According to reports, Syria’s government raises diesel prices by around 40% to 175 Syrian pounds per litre, while other coverage says fuel prices increase by more than 28%. Protests spread to multiple cities and provinces, with outlets citing at least eight provinces. One of the most prominent flashpoints is the highway linking Damascus to Aleppo, alongside other road blockades.
