Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2026 is postponed for a third time. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the exam conducting authority, reschedules the 41st Maharashtra State Level Eligibility Test to October 25, 2026, from the earlier scheduled date of September 27, 2026.

SPPU issues the revised timing through a notification dated September 13, 2026. The university says the change is made after it receives the schedule of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other competitive examinations. It also cites Anant Chaturdashi falling on September 25, 2026, which could cause travel and practical difficulties for candidates attending examination centres. Both outlets report that candidate representations are considered while deciding the new date.

Times of India adds that the rescheduling gives candidates additional time to prepare and that the university will announce details about the admit card release at a later stage. Free Press Journal reiterates that candidates and related stakeholders are directed to note the updated date and to check the official MH SET website for further instructions.
