The reporting frames the title as a likely continuation of the series’ existing thematic approach: the first Lies of P game draws on “Pinocchio,” and the sequel title is presented as a nod to “The Wizard of Oz.” Vice adds that if the speculation proves accurate, the sequel could be story-inspired by Dorothy and elements from L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Nintendo Life similarly notes the apparent connection between the sequel’s title and a potential Oz-inspired direction.
