On Wednesday, after a complex and lengthy investigation, the major crime unit arrested a 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Eskasoni. The names of the individuals were not released by police. The two are facing charges in relation to failing to provide the necessities of life and criminal negligence causing death. Both were released on conditions by the court. They’re scheduled to return to Eskasoni Provincial Court on June 30.
