Both outlets describe travellers sitting on the floor and seeking information on why flights that were due to depart on Monday remain on the ground into Tuesday. One flight was originally scheduled for the morning and had still not taken off after more than a day, while a second Dubai-bound flight planned for the previous evening is also delayed to later the next day. Some sources cite flight-tracking information showing one service marked as “cancelled.” Authorities at the airport provide support, including help and food or refreshments, as the wait continues.
SpiceJet attributes the delays to operational reasons linked to the grounding of an aircraft. The airline says alternate flights are being arranged to accommodate affected passengers and that it is working to reduce inconvenience.
