Amazon says its quick delivery service in India is reaching a $1 billion milestone in annualised sales, achieved in less than two years since launch. Bloomberg reports the service is on track for more than $1 billion in annual sales, while other outlets describe it as crossing $1 billion annualised in a shorter timeframe.

The move comes as competition in India’s quick commerce market intensifies. The Hindu links the growth to broader industry investment in fulfilment infrastructure and faster delivery services, particularly to capture demand around the festive season. Bloomberg adds that Amazon’s push is stepping up competition against homegrown rivals, including Blinkit, operated by Eternal Ltd., a leader in the segment.

NDTV frames the development as part of Amazon’s earlier decision to wait before entering the rapid delivery category, after years of observing local players. Across reports, the common theme is rapid scaling, driven by expanding operations and logistics to improve delivery speed and availability.
