According to reporting from The Next Web, the agreement follows an earlier announcement by the city’s transportation department in August. The project is described as a multi-year buildout intended to expand capacity from the city’s existing limited curbside charging footprint—listed as 88 charging points—to about 700 curbside chargers. The same source states the network build runs for three years.
Inc. Magazine characterizes the deal as a decision to bet on a relatively new startup, described as “five-year-old,” to deliver the city’s permanent curbside EV charging future.
