Hideo Kojima’s upcoming action-espionage video game “Physint” has cast Bill Skarsgård in the lead role. Kojima Productions announces the casting alongside other previously reported performers, including Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. Skarsgård is set to portray the player character. Kojima has described “Physint” as a project that blurs the line between games and movies, and he presents it as not confined by existing entertainment genres.
The news also follows a shift in publishing partnership. After PlayStation stepped away from the project earlier this year, Kojima Productions brought in Xbox as the new partner publisher. Xbox is now working with Kojima Productions on “Physint,” with the studio noting an expanded relationship that also includes the experimental horror game “OD.”
Outlets differ mainly in emphasis: some focus on Skarsgård’s star casting, while others foreground the broader transition from PlayStation to Xbox. Across reports, story and gameplay specifics remain largely undisclosed, and no release date has been announced.
