Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State declare support for Governor Hyacinth Alia and President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 general elections. The group, the Concerned Benue APC Stakeholders and Strategic Alliance, announces its position during a press conference in Abuja and says it will mobilise support across Benue.
Across the reports, the group also urges APC unity and cautions members against actions that could weaken the party ahead of the polls. One outlet highlights a specific warning against forming or joining a “rainbow coalition,” describing such an arrangement as a threat to APC cohesion. Another outlet frames the message primarily as a formal show of backing for Alia and Tinubu. One convener notes he previously opposed Alia’s bid but says the group has shifted stance in line with party supremacy.
The outlets agree that the stakeholders call for resolving disputes through official party organs and internal dispute-resolution channels, rather than activities that could damage the party’s chances. They also say they will pursue grassroots mobilisation in wards and local government areas and urge leadership to follow the party constitution and due process in any disciplinary matters.
