Under the new rule, the warning is mandated in a more direct and prominent way when films include scenes of drug consumption.

Regulations are reported to have been implemented for over-the-top (OTT) platforms and television channels, reflecting a broader policy direction beyond cinema. The outlets also mention that the CBFC has recently been reorganized, alongside reference to its last guideline update in May 2025, as the board continues to adjust oversight of substance-related portrayals.
