Delhi Metro records its busiest day on Thursday, with about 82.44–82.45 lakh passenger boardings reported by outlets. The increase is linked to an ongoing strike by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses, which drives more commuters toward the rail network.
Both reports say the figure surpasses the previous day’s total of about 80.71 lakh boardings. One outlet adds that the Yellow Line corridor records the highest number of boardings among Delhi Metro’s routes. To handle the higher demand, Delhi Metro increases train trips and runs enhanced services for commuters through the disruption.
