Drag racer Leah Pruett plans to step away from the NHRA at the end of the current season to focus on having a second child with her husband, Tony Stewart.
Both outlets report that Pruett is in contention for her first NHRA Top Fuel championship when she makes the decision. Yahoo Sports adds that Pruett was a spectator during the 2024 and 2025 seasons while the couple began their family. Tony Stewart, described as having filled in for Pruett during that period, competes as a substitute while she is away.
