Engineering firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) says global modularisation could reach $150 billion within five years, pointing to growing demand for pre-fabricated industrial units. The company links the outlook to its recent execution of a major overseas modular project.
L&T reports that it has completed the fabrication and delivery of 110 modules, weighing about 64,000 metric tonnes, for Project CERES in Australia. The plant is described as Australia’s largest urea manufacturing facility, with a capacity of 2.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Business Line adds that the company’s delivery is for the 2.3 MTPA urea project.
