Paramount announces release plans for two horror sequels, including a follow-up to 2019’s alligator thriller “Crawl.” The yet-to-be-titled “Crawl” sequel, directed by Alexandre Aja and starring Mason Gooding and Emily Rudd, is scheduled for July 16, 2027.
Outlet coverage also notes that Paramount shifts the timing for another horror sequel in the same slate. “Heart Eyes 2” is set to arrive on Feb. 4, 2028, moving up from an earlier Feb. 11, 2028 date. All reports describe “Crawl 2” as a new survival story involving alligators and position Aja’s return as a key creative link to the first film. They also reference the commercial performance of “Crawl,” which grossed about $91–92 million, portraying it as a breakout success that helped shape the sequel’s development.
