Ahead of Motorola’s event, Qualcomm is also preparing to reveal new chipsets at its Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii on the same day. Multiple reports note expectations that Qualcomm will introduce Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro during that summit. Because Motorola explicitly references the Snapdragon Summit in its marketing for Signature 27, outlets report that the new phone is likely to use one of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite variants.
The coverage aligns on the timing and the link between Motorola’s handset announcement and Qualcomm’s chip event. However, one outlet frames the specific chipset choice more cautiously, noting that Motorola is “giving nothing but Elite,” while another spells out the likely connection to the expected Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 family.
