India’s exports to four core BRICS economies increase 34% in the April–August period of FY 2026-27, reaching $19.9 billion from $14.9 billion in the same months of the previous fiscal year. Commerce ministry data cited by multiple outlets provide the figures for the growth in exports to these markets.
The reports also link the rise to strong demand for fuels, electronics, metals and industrial goods. One outlet adds that the share of core BRICS countries in India’s total exports improves, increasing to 9.2% in the first five months of the current fiscal from 8.1% previously. Overall, China is identified as the leading country within the group, while the other outlets focus primarily on the size of the increase and the product categories driving it.
