Kangana Ranaut has defended young singer-turned-politician Maithili Thakur after she was trolled for arriving at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja pandal in a luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Kangana questioned why politicians are expected to live modestly despite having their own careers and success. Maithili, a folk singer from Bihar, entered politics as a BJP candidate in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections and has since continued her musical career.
