The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it intercepts illicit drugs worth about N3.4 billion, including over 1.3 million pills and capsules of tramadol and other opioids, as well as about 6,000kg of cannabis. The seizures are made during operations across eight states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nigeria.
Several outlets report that NDLEA also arrests suspects connected to the trafficking, including a person posing as a police officer and a mechanic.
