Vocalist Sargam Vaish accuses the makers of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film The Vvaan of using his devotional track “Aigiri Nandini” in the film’s official trailer without his permission. He says he is seeking removal of the song and warns of possible legal action.
In social media posts and a video, Vaish claims he had been working on the piece for around three years and that about 25 seconds of his track were allegedly included in the trailer. He also shares what he says is evidence from his music credits, including a screenshot indicating a modification date of March 9, 2024, and argues that “production and vocals” from his original work were used. He requests the song be removed from both the trailer and the film.
The outlets report that, at present, the allegations are based on Vaish’s claims and there is no response from the film’s makers. The Vvaan, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and produced by Ektaa Kapoor and others, is inspired by lore around the Van Devi Temple and is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 25, 2026.
