JLR India announces lower prices for certain imported, completely built unit (CBU) Range Rover models from the UK, citing the duty changes expected under the India–UK free trade agreement (FTA). The company says the revised pricing applies to Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV, effective immediately. According to JLR India, the Range Rover SV is repriced from ₹4.25 crore to ₹3.5 crore (starting price ex-showroom). For the Range Rover Sport SV, the price is reduced to ₹2.35 crore from ₹2.75 crore. The price reductions are described as reflecting the new duty structure enabled by the FTA, with JLR saying it is extending the benefits of the agreement to customers. Business Standard reports JLR India’s view that the updated pricing follows anticipation of the FTA implementation and is aimed at strengthening market positioning. The Hindu similarly reports that JLR is cutting prices of the UK imports by up to ₹75 lakh, highlighting the two key models that receive the benefits.
