Enugu Air launches direct flights between Enugu, Nigeria, and Douala, Cameroon, with the route starting on September 23, according to reports citing the airline’s management.

The airline’s chief operating officer, Ugonna Agubuokwu, confirms the announcement in a statement issued on Sunday. The new service is presented as part of efforts to improve regional connectivity between Nigeria and Cameroon and make travel more accessible for passengers and businesses.

Sources also agree the route operates twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Reported departure and arrival times are: flights from Enugu depart at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Douala at 1:45 p.m.; the return departs Douala at 2:30 p.m. and arrives in Enugu at 3:30 p.m. The timing is described as enabling connections for travellers coming from Lagos and Abuja through Enugu. One outlet also places the launch in the context of the airline’s broader plans after it is inaugurated by Nigeria’s minister of aviation and aerospace development, Festus Keyamo, on July 7, 2025, with expectations of additional regional routes.
