Senegalese footballer Sadio Mané is investing about $20 million in an agro-industrial venture in his hometown of Bambali. Multiple outlets report that the project is backed by his own funding and is focused on expanding mango processing, with plans that include large-scale mango planting and downstream production.
The reported investment supports a processing operation associated with SM10 Agro, described as covering roughly 500 hectares. Sources say the plan includes planting tens of thousands of mango trees, generating more than 1,000 jobs, and producing thousands of tonnes of processed mango products annually, including items such as purée and dried mango. The outlets also describe aims to reduce crop waste and increase exports.
While coverage aligns on the project’s scale and location, they differ in emphasis.
