In the screenshot, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleges the sender asks for recommendations of national newspapers and blogs that could publish the content, along with cost implications. Akpoti-Uduaghan responds publicly with a message addressing Akpabio, saying “you shall fall into the pits you dig for me,” and accuses his office of using media platforms against her. She does not identify the person behind the alleged WhatsApp message or provide independent proof of who initiated it.
Both reports place the latest accusation within an ongoing dispute between the two politicians. Sources describe that the disagreement began in 2025 over Akpoti-Uduaghan’s seating arrangement in the Senate, later expanding to her accusations of sexual harassment and victimisation, which Akpabio denies. They also say the Senate suspends Akpoti-Uduaghan over alleged violations of its rules, drawing public reaction.
