AppleInsider notes that the build sequence differs from the typical pattern of starting with a point-1 update (such as iOS 27.1). It reports that iOS 27.1 is being skipped for non-foldable iPhone models, linking the decision to iPhone “Duo elements” and instead moving forward with 27.2.
MacRumors adds detail on watchOS 27.2 and the ecosystem around it. It says Apple is testing a new Health app that it previously previewed, including Insights and Longevity tabs with a readiness score that draws on data from the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. For visionOS 27.2 and tvOS 27.2, MacRumors reports no confirmed features, while referencing expectations that Apple TV 4K may receive Siri AI support before the end of the year.
