The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says it has begun nationwide mobilisation of party polling agents ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement, the party directs its state and local government area (LGA) chairmen to compile and harmonise lists of agents and submit them for approval by the national leadership.
The NDC gives officials a two-week deadline to send final lists for scrutiny and ratification. The party says the process follows the Electoral Act, 2026, and requires meetings with candidates and relevant stakeholders to collate the agent nominations. The NDC also specifies that two separate sets of agents will be prepared: one for National Assembly elections and another for governorship and state House of Assembly elections.
According to the party, its national leadership, including the presidential candidate and running mate, reviews and ratifies the lists, after which training is expected to begin.
