IPAC warns Ogun politicians as Yayi visits party secretariat

 The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Ogun State has cautioned governorship candidates against inflammatory rhetoric and personal attacks that could destabilise the state ahead of the 2027 elections.The warning came on Monday when the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola (popularly known as Yayi), visited the IPAC secretariat in Abeokuta and presented his development agenda.IPAC Chairman Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu praised Adeola’s contributions across the three senatorial districts but urged all candidates to avoid “heating up the polity with vulgar language and personal attacks.” He called instead for issue-based campaigns in which aspirants present clear manifestos to the electorate.     Adeola used the visit to unveil his nine-pillar manifesto, tagged “ITESIWAJU for Ogun State” (Itesiwaju Ipinle Ogun - progress of Ogun State). The acronym covers Infrastructure; Tourism and Culture; Economic Empowerment; Security and Welfare; Inclusive Growth and Well-being; Women, Youth and Poverty Eradication; Agriculture and Food Security; Job Creation and Industrialisation; and Urbanisation and Transparency.He stressed the need for policy continuity, citing Lagos State as an example of how successive administrations since 1999 have built on previous achievements to drive growth. Adeola pledged that, if elected, his government would complete viable projects started by the current administration rather than abandon them for political reasons.“People must be able to know what your plans are for the youth, the economy, women, industrialisation, infrastructure, contractors and agriculture,” he said, dismissing controversies over his ancestral roots as political desperation and affirming he would not be distracted.
