MIP London is ending after two years, and the organizers are replacing it with a new event alongside the London Book Fair. Deadline, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter all report that RX France will not bring MIP London back beyond its current run.
Instead, RX France launches a two-day conference called MIP Talks, scheduled to take place concurrently with the London Book Fair in March. Variety specifies the dates as March 16–17, 2027, while Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter describe it as a new program aligned with the book fair.
The outlets also differentiate the framing and editorial focus of the replacement conference. The Hollywood Reporter says MIP Talks is built around the editorial theme “From IP to Fandom — and Fandom to Global Business,” while Deadline and Variety emphasize the conference’s goal of convening industry voices from the connected worlds covered by MIP and the book fair.
Across the reports, the London Book Fair is described as a flagship event for RX’s Reed Exhibitions, highlighting the shift from a standalone MIP London event to a conference integrated into an existing major fair.
