The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) advertises for a new bowling coach for the men’s national team shortly after Ashley Noffke is announced as head coach of the Netherlands. Dawn reports that the PCB places the advertisement without mentioning Noffke by name or explicitly stating that he has left.
Dawn says Noffke is currently Pakistan’s white-ball bowling coach and is appointed by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association on an initial two-year contract running to the end of 2028. He is expected to lead the Netherlands during qualification campaigns for the 2027 ODI and 2028 T20 World Cups. NDTV also reports that Noffke exits his Pakistan bowling-coach role to take over the Netherlands job.
Dawn adds that the PCB advert seeks an experienced coach with minimum Level III Cricket Coaching Accreditation and at least five years’ experience with elite or national/international players. Applications are invited until Oct 8. Dawn also notes Noffke is part of Pakistan’s contingent for the upcoming Asian Games cricket competition, with the team set to depart from Karachi on Thursday. The Netherlands announcement follows a period in which Dawn says there was no prior indication Noffke would step down.
