Airbus SE says it has won a 25-year cybersecurity contract from France’s Ministry of Armed Forces. The agreement is part of France’s efforts to strengthen defenses against potential cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure.
According to Airbus and reporting on the deal details, the contract—referred to as PARACOM—covers the supply of cybersecurity “gateways” used to connect networks operating at different classification levels within France’s armed forces. The arrangement addresses the need for data to move between networks that have different security classifications, with Airbus providing the checkpoints to manage that transfer.
