Multiple reports cite code-discovery by the leaker “pdfu,” who says the system behind Siri AI—internally referred to as “Linwood”—is present in HomePod Software 27 (also described as audioOS 27). The same reports also note changes to the HomePod’s Siri-related status lights in Siri AI colors.
At the same time, outlets differ on timing and availability. Both sources say Siri AI is not yet active on existing HomePods, suggesting support may be limited to newer models introduced later. AppleInsider frames the HomePod mini as the most likely first recipient, predicting an upcoming update that enables Siri AI, potentially when paired with a compatible iPhone for Apple Intelligence. MacRumors adds that an updated HomePod mini may use a faster processor and could include additional hardware components, but stresses that the currently shipping devices may not gain the feature.
Separately, broader expectations in the MacRumors report include future upgrades for other Apple home devices, though these are not confirmed by the other outlet.
