Warner Bros. delays “Gremlins 3,” moving its release date from November 19, 2027, to October 6, 2028. The decision affects the previously scheduled window for the long-awaited continuation of the Mogwai franchise.
The project was initially outlined publicly by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav during an investor call in 2025. Both outlets also report that key creative figures remain attached. Steven Spielberg returns as an executive producer, and Chris Columbus (described as a “Harry Potter” filmmaker in one report) is set to produce, with Eleanor Columbus also cited in the executive production team.
While the primary focus of both sources is the change in release timing, they differ mainly in emphasis: one concentrates on the corporate announcement and credited producing team, while the other highlights that the franchise’s returning creative leadership suggests the project continues despite the delay.
