Tesco is trialling virtual try-on technology in its Sandhurst Extra store to let shoppers see how F&F clothing looks on them. The pilot uses in-store virtual features to offer a try-before-you-buy experience for shoppers considering new outfits.
According to reports, the trial includes virtual viewing for around 1,500 items of F&F clothing across both womenswear and menswear. Retail Gazette also describes a refreshed F&F “service hub” in the store, positioned as part of a broader in-store experience meant to help customers discover styles with more confidence.
The outlets focus on the same core elements: the location of the trial (Sandhurst Extra), the purpose (virtual try-on), and the scale of the catalogue (about 1,500 items). Differences are mainly in emphasis, with some coverage highlighting the novelty of the technology in Tesco’s F&F offering and others describing the wider in-store changes accompanying the pilot.
