The Herald and the Age announce the launch of their Good Food Guides in October. The publications say the guides will feature more than 500 anonymously written reviews, covering a range of cuisines, price points and suburbs.

According to the outlets, readers will be able to access the content through a Good Food app and a dedicated blog that follows award ceremonies connected to the guides. The announcement also says a free guide liftout will be available.

While the coverage is consistent across outlets, the reporting largely functions as an events-and-access notice rather than a detailed review of individual venues. All sources emphasize the same core elements: scale of anonymous reviews, coverage breadth, and how readers can follow related awards and obtain the printed guide.
