Mrs Nonye Soludo, through a statement by the governor’s First Lady media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, denies Obi’s claim that he was a godfather to one of their sons at baptism. Ezeigwe says Obi is not a godfather to any of the governor’s children, framing Obi’s statement as inaccurate rather than reflecting their position.
The outlets therefore differ on whose account is accurate, with Obi presenting a personal relationship description and Soludo’s household rejecting the godparent claim. The matter centers on Obi’s public comments and the First Lady’s formal denial through her communications team.
