Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TDB) signs an agreement with space startup Agnikul Cosmos for ₹200 crore support under the RDI fund. The deal is framed as financial backing aimed at supporting Agnikul Cosmos’s activities, with the parties outlining the funding structure and terms in the agreement.
According to the reports, the ₹200 crore support is provided through Optionally Convertible Debentures (OCDs). This means TDB’s investment takes the form of debentures that can potentially convert into equity under agreed conditions, rather than as a straight equity infusion or grant. The outlets describe the announcement as a formal signing of the agreement and focus on the size of the funding and the instrument used.
While both sources are aligned on the deal’s value and structure, they primarily differ in how they phrase the purpose of the RDI support and the level of detail provided beyond the announced agreement terms.
