J Infratech Ltd has filed preliminary draft papers with India’s market regulator SEBI for an initial public offering (IPO). The company’s proposal includes a fresh issue of shares worth about ₹600 crore, with a draft red herring prospectus filed on Friday. Outlets report that no IPO price band or subscription dates are announced yet.

In addition to the fresh issue, the IPO plan includes an offer for sale (OFS) of 1 crore equity shares by promoters. Two sources also say the company may consider a pre-IPO placement of up to ₹120 crore; if that placement proceeds, the fresh issue size would be reduced accordingly. The funds from newly issued shares are intended mainly for working capital and repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings, with the remainder for general corporate purposes.

The company is an integrated infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player focused on roads, highways and bridges, including specialised structures. Reporting also notes the firm has proposed to list on both BSE and NSE, with Systematix Corporate Services as book-running lead manager and KFin Technologies as registrar to the offer.
