Air Force defeats Nevada 36-33 in double overtime as Rocco Conti scores the deciding touchdown on a 7-yard run. The Falcons rally in the second overtime to close out the Mountain West Conference opener on Saturday night.
According to game accounts, the teams trade points across the extra periods. In the first overtime, Carter Cremascoli for Air Force and Nevada’s Joe McFadden each make field goals. In the second phase of overtime, McFadden adds another field goal for Nevada before Conti runs it in to finish the game for Air Force.
