The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its Presidential Campaign Council criticise the Presidency over President Bola Tinubu’s prolonged absence from Nigeria and calls for clarification on his whereabouts. The ADC says Nigerians are entitled to know where he is and how presidential authority will be exercised while he is away.

According to separate reports, the ADC issues its demands through statements released by officials of the campaign council. Vanguard reports the council’s call for an explanation, while the Daily Post Nigeria adds that the ADC presses the Presidency for “full disclosure” around six days after the expiration of a previously announced three-week period of absence. Both outlets frame the issue as a request for transparency rather than a statement of specific allegations.
