The Philippines and Slovakia sign a joint communiqué establishing a Labor Consultation Mechanism to strengthen bilateral labor cooperation. The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) says the mechanism is intended to provide a regular platform for both countries to sustain dialogue on employment-related matters.
According to the DMW, the consultation mechanism covers coordination on employment opportunities, recruitment procedures, and the recognition of workers’ credentials. The agreement is signed on Sept. 28 by the DMW, represented by Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, and the Slovak Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, represented by Slovak Ambassador Miloš Koterec.
