Tompolo Movement donates 50 vehicles to support Tinubu’s 2027 campaign in Kano

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, founded and convened by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo), has launched its Kano State structure and donated 50 branded vehicles to boost grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.The vehicles were presented on Sunday at the Government House in Kano during the official unveiling of the movement’s state structure. The event drew APC leaders, government officials, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, and supporters. The donation aims to support campaign activities across Kano’s 44 local government areas.Representing Tompolo, Delta State House of Assembly Speaker Emomotimi Guwor said the movement would take its message directly to voters through grassroots structures. “The plan is that every door will be knocked, every home will be knocked, so that people will give their massive support to Mr President,” he stated.Guwor, who also chairs the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, added that the group would set up structures nationwide and deploy coordinators at ward and polling-unit levels. He cited the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange changes along with infrastructure projects such as the Kano rail project and the rehabilitation of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport as reasons for the support. “A lot has been done, and you can see that he’s very bold with his economic reforms. Good things attract people,” he said.Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf received the vehicles and described the donation as a clear show of Tompolo’s backing for the APC and Tinubu’s re-election bid. “These vehicles being presented today will be deployed to support our political structures and groups across the state as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Yusuf said.The governor also urged political stakeholders, particularly in the North, to support Tinubu’s second-term ambition, arguing that power should return to the North after the South completes an eight-year cycle. He called for peaceful, issue-based campaigns focused on records, policies, and development plans rather than personal attacks. “This year’s campaign should be issue-based. What do you have for the good people of the state? What have you done for them?” he advised.The Kano launch expands the Door-to-Door Movement’s northern outreach. The group earlier distributed 34 campaign vehicles in Katsina and 44 vehicles plus other materials in Borno as it intensifies grassroots efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
