The Port of Churchill’s operator, Arctic Gateway Group, and the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands sign an agreement aimed at attracting business and strengthening supply chains connecting Western Canada and Europe.
According to outlets covering the announcement, the deal is positioned as a way to build a “northern gateway” for sectors including critical minerals and energy, alongside other trade and logistics opportunities. The Winnipeg Free Press and the Financial Post both describe the agreement as part of efforts to deepen transatlantic cooperation through the two ports.
