Delhi commuters are set to benefit as the Barapullah Phase-3 elevated corridor opens to traffic. The project comprises an approximately 9-kilometre route intended to improve connectivity between East and South Delhi, with provisions that include dedicated facilities for cyclists and pedestrians along the corridor.
Across reporting, the corridor is described as connecting Mayur Vihar Phase-1 with AIIMS, aiming to enable smoother travel without signal interruptions. Times of India also reports that Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates the completed stretch. During the inauguration, traffic disruptions are reported on the Ring Road, with effects on nearby areas. Additional infrastructure measures are also highlighted, including new flyovers and a Mukarba Chowk underpass, described as intended to improve traffic movement across parts of north and south Delhi.
