Nuvoco Vistas Corporation says it will acquire a 26% stake in Clean Max Ilgohp Private Limited, a special purpose vehicle linked to a hybrid wind-solar project in Bhikamkhore, Rajasthan. The company executed a share purchase agreement with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited as part of the deal.
The project is reported as having 20 MW of wind capacity and 26.4 MWdc of solar capacity, along with a 2 MWh battery energy storage system. Power is intended to be supplied to Nuvoco through the State Transmission Utility open access network. One outlet also states the project is expected to avoid about 125,485 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
On the strategic side, Nuvoco describes the move as increasing renewable energy share and improving long-term cost efficiency while reducing reliance on conventional power.
